You must have a skipper’s licence, and be 16 or older
In the event of a claim, you must be able to show us that you had a valid skipper’s licence at the me, and are 16 years of age or older.
This also applies to any person who may have been pilo ng your pleasure-cra at the me with your permission. If the pleasure-cra is conveyed on land, the driver must have a valid driver’s licence.
A valid skipper’s or driver’s licence
A valid skipper’s, driver’s or learner’s licence is one that:
○ has been obtained from the correct authority, for the correct category
○ has been renewed on me
○ has not lapsed, or been cancelled or suspended.
Tender boat must be marked
Your tender boat must be permanently marked with the name of the parent cra it belongs to.
