What to expect on your African Safari:
Many of you will remember the scenes from Out of Africa when Karen Blixen went on Safari with everything including the kitchen sink and the gramophone! Luckily for us, the lodges are so well equipped you can leave your hairdryer at home. Rest assured they will have one for you. Getting there is also a whole lot more comfortable: the ight from Cape Town to Skukuza
is a mere 2 and a half hours in a modern pressurised mainline aeroplane, conveniently landing within the Kruger National Park boundary. Your safari starts here! The drive from Skukuza airport to your lodge takes only 45 minutes, meandering through the Sabi Sand Game Reserve.
What to pack for your African Experience
Since we want your safari experience to be perfect and completely comfortable, we recommend a few items that we believe you should bring along:
• In February/March temperatures throughout rise and cool, therefore light clothing is recommended

• Swimming costume
• Sun block, sun hat, sunglasses and lip balm
• Malaria prophylaxis (please consult your doctor before your departure)
• Extra pair of correction glasses (if you wear them)
• Contact lens solution and an extra set of contact lenses (if required)
• Cameras binoculars and a spare memory card
• Video camera and a spare battery
(Batteries can be recharged in your suite; electricity voltage is 220V)
• Each room is equipped with bathrobes, slippers, hair dryer and basic amenities
• It would be advisable to bring along a South African/American electrical point converter

• Try to keep colours neutral for the safaris (cream, beige, brown)
• Comfortable walking shoes, track shoes or boots will be suitable as well as sandals to wear around at meals and within the lodge area
• Shorts or skirts and short-sleeve shirts for the warm midday periods
• Dinners are casual
