 General Procedures
      Hollard to attend to and submit to Sasria
  Sasria Coupon – Hollard or the binder broker
   Appointment of assessor for motor claims over R10 000 and non-motor claims over R50 000
    Motor claims below R10 000 – no assessor required if full quote and photographs submitted
    Motor claim over R250 000 – investigator to be appointed
   De-registration certificate or registration document if insured is retaining the salvage
   Settlement letter from the bank
   Salvage upliftments confirmation
    No assessor for windscreen/glass claims
    9.3.3 The claim should be emailed to sasriaclaims@hollard.co.za.
9.3.4 Motor claims:
9.3.4.1 Hollard’s Sasria Motor team will appoint an assessor on all motor claims over R10 000 (ten thousand rand).
9.3.4.2 In the event that the quantum exceeds R250 000 (two hundred and fifty thousand rand), a loss adjuster will be appointed to investigate.
9.3.4.3 Sasria will complete a desktop assessment for claims below R10 000 (ten thousand rand) provided that all documentation has been received. If all is in order, Sasria will authorise the claim.
9.3.5 Non-motor claims:
9.3.5.1 A loss adjuster will be appointed for all non-motor claims above R50 000 (fifty thousand rand). Settlement instruction to be done by Sasria.
9.3.6 In the event of a valid claim, the agreement of loss/release will be prepared by Sasria.
9.3.7 Payments: all payment requests (signed release, agreement of loss and repair invoices and
clearance certificates) to be sent to Sasria at payments@Sasria.co.za.
9.3.8 Salvage is managed by the assessor or salvage team at Hollard.
9.3.9 In the event that the claim is not valid in terms of the Sasria policy, Sasria will prepare the rejection letter and will forward to Hollard. On receipt, the letter will be sent to the broker.
9.3.10 Late notifications will attract penalties.
9.3.11 Liability can only be accepted or declined by Sasria, not Hollard or the broker.
10. SASRIA CLAIMS AND PROCEDURES
10.1 General
10.1.1 All information relating to Sasria claims is to be treated as confidential.
10.1.2 The appointment of a loss adjuster, prior to notifying Sasria of a claim that has been reported, is at the discretion of the non-mandated intermediary (NMI) on all claims below R1 000 000 (one million rand).
10.1.3 On all claims above R1 000 000 (one million rand) Sasria must be contacted before a loss adjuster is appointed. Should a loss adjuster be appointed without Sasria's consent, adjusting fees will be for the NMI's account.
Under no circumstances is anyone allowed to amend any documentation issued by Sasria without the knowledge of and consent from Sasria Limited.
10.2 Sasria Limited Perils
In terms of the Sasria policy wording, Sasria will cover loss of, or damage to the property insured directly related to or caused by:
10.2.1 any act (whether on behalf of any organisation, body or person, or group of persons) calculated or directed to overthrow or influence any state or government, or any provincial, local or tribal authority with force, or by means of fear, terrorism or violence
