Membership In The Association

The American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) is a professional society driven for and by its
members. A2LA strives to forge stronger connections with those who share the same values and principles as
we do and is committed to offering our members and associates the appropriate information, education, and
resources that are needed to further their personal and career objectives.

Members are eligible to receive discounts on A2LA training courses, registration for the annual Technical Forum,
accreditation fees (for association memberships), and on car rental services through Avis and Budget. In addi-
tion, A2LA members are entitled to one vote in elections of the Board of Directors and to special accreditation
news from our President.

In 2014, A2LA began the process of analyzing the current benefit offerings of the membership program, as well
as the overall infrastructure. A survey was conducted of current members and the results aided in the identifi-
cation of areas to streamline and ideas for future, more meaningful benefits for members.
