It has been several years since the vision of the Adriatic Pearl was first imagined, from the early the age of 10, the founder of the event, Marko Ciboci is a dancer of life. His dancing dreams of success and of its sustainability have existed hand in hand with the reality of a dancers world. He like many others has spent his whole childhood and most of his adult life driven by the obsession and passion that only a true dancer can understand in this, our ballroom world.
We often lose sight of our dreams as we mature, but staying true to oneself, never losing sight of a dream and overcoming the obstacles along the road to success, is what this journey is all about. Embedded in his upbringing is to maintain high ethical & moral standards, nurturing trust and respect for others. Nevertheless, always prepared to fight for what is right and just. Investing his life's saving into this dream along with the support from those near and dearest to him.
I first met Marko 3 years ago, by chance, my wife came across an online advertisement for the APD, intuition maybe, but I immediately reached out through the dance-vine, to offer my support for this pursuit towards a dancing castle in the air, set in the backdrop of one of the most stunning environments on this planet. Dubrovnik, Dalmatia, coincidently the homeland of my forefathers. Following and seeing his dream coming into fruition, supporting and believing in him, I am proud to have become apart of his life, his dream that we now share.....and in the blink of an eye, this is now the third Adriatic Pearl Dubrovnik.

Challenges are always laid in front of us to encourage the search for answers and solutions to problems sometimes significant and often miniscule. However, driven with a vision and desire to achieve success and to share ones passion for our dance world are virtues worth striving for, sharing and delivering the best of oneself is that dream. It is now a reality and with continued support from dancers and readers like you, we will aspire to bring you the very best that we can, providing you with a glimpse into the magical dancers life in the beautiful town of Dubrovnik, we hope you can experience our dream and join us this year, at the dancing castle in the air.
