The Montana Justice Foundation is a non-profit organization working to achieve equal access to justice for all Montanans through effective grant funding to legal aid programs, promoting pro bono services, and developing more resources for low-income Montanans in need of legal assistance. Every family should have the le- gal resources they need to feel safe and secure. The Mon- tana Justice Foundation’s grant programs help people stay in their homes, receive medical care, escape abusive and violent environments, and rebuild their lives.
As the charitable arm of Montana’s legal community, the Montana Justice Foundation serves a vital role as a stable and reliable source of funds for access to justice programs statewide. Through the generous support of our donors, revenue from the Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts (IOLTA) program, and cy pres awards, the Foundation has distributed more than $8 million in grants and loan repayment assistance to Montana’s legal aid programs and attorneys over the last 30 years, and contin- ues to serve thousands of Montanans every year.
