Welcome to the beautiful city of Helena!
It is my honor and great privilege to welcome you to the capital city of Montana. We take pride in our small town and the strong community bonds that make Helena such an enjoyable place to live or visit!
Helena was founded in 1864 as a gold camp during the Montana gold rush. Our Montana Historical Museum offers you a look at the rich history this city provides. Take a stroll through the walking mall downtown and stop by some of Helena’s favorite shops and restaurants.
Some of Helena’s greatest attributes are the access to public lands and the breathtaking outdoor scenery that so many of our residents engage with every day. Mount Helena offers some exquisite trails for those who enjoy hiking or backpacking.
I genuinely hope you enjoy your visit here! For those of you that love Helena as much as I do and decide to stay, I’m confident that it will not take long for Helena to feel like home. Again, welcome and allow Helena to make some of your fondest memories.
