INCOMING PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
2024: A Year of Growth, Collaboration & Resilience
I hope you’re doing well and staying healthy. As your President in 2024, I am writing to share our vision and goals for the year ahead, a period that promises growth, collaboration, and resilience.
This year, the leadership team at MAR has outlined a series of ambitious yet attainable goals, central to which elucidate the value of a Realtor to our clients and communities. We understand that our role extends beyond transactions; we are advisors, neighborhood experts, and community advocates. Our work significantly impacts lives, shaping communities and creating opportunities for homebuyers and sellers.
Another key objective is to underscore the value of the association to you, our members.
To achieve this, we are excited to announce the MAR Roadshow. This initiative will bring us
directly to your communities, creating a platform for open dialogue, sharing experiences, and learning from each other. We aim to listen to your needs, concerns, and aspirations, ensuring our association remains relevant and supportive in your professional journey.
Encouragement in the Face of Adversity
We are navigating times of change and uncertainty, particularly with recent industry challenges and legal proceedings that have left many of us concerned about the future. In these moments, the true essence of leadership and community is revealed. We find courage not in the absence of fear but in the face of it. As Realtors, we have always risen to challenges, adapting and thriving in changing environments. This year will be no different.
We will continue to advocate for your interests, safeguard the integrity of our profession, and provide you with the tools and resources necessary for success. Remember, each challenge is an opportunity to demonstrate our resilience, innovation, and commitment to our values.
Call to Action: Your Involvement is Crucial
Our goals and ambitions can only be realized through collective effort. This is a call to action for your local, state, and national involvement. Engage in local real estate boards, participate in state association initiatives, and stay informed about national industry trends and legislation.
Your voice is essential. Share your experiences, insights, and ideas. Attend our meetings, respond to our surveys, and participate in our events. The more we hear from you, the better we can represent and serve you.
How You Can Get Involved
1. Local Level: Engage with your local Realtor association. Attend meetings, volunteer for committees, and participate in local events. Your local board is our industry’s first line of connection and support.
2. State Level: Get involved with MAR initiatives. Please participate in our Roadshow events, engage with our state- level committees, and attend our educational and networking events.
3. National Level: Stay informed about national issues affecting our industry. Advocate for policies that support the real estate market and our profession. Consider attending national conferences to broaden your perspective and network.
Every member’s participation, no matter the capacity, contributes to the strength and success of our association. Together, we can achieve more, ensuring that the Montana Association of Realtors remains a dynamic and influential force in the real estate industry.
