Barbara Berg was the music teacher at Jefferson Elementary School for five of my six years there. In one word, she is legendary. Jefferson Elementary has an incredible music education program. On top of being a music teacher, she was also the Principal Flutist for the Helena Symphony and wrote and directed countless Symphony Kids performances for the Helena community. Mrs. Berg has left a strong legacy at Jefferson, with shows ranging from “Buzzy Bear” (Kinder- garten) to “Grammar Gulch” (Third) to “American History” (Fifth). She is undoubtedly a Distinguished Educator.
