Untangling Your New England Roots: An Overview from the Seven Years War to the Conclusion (Program) with John Putnam
Did you have New England Ancestors living in New England immediately before, during, and after the American Revolution as well in the early years of the New Republic? Do you know their history and how they coped with the many historic disruptions during this time? Even though you may not share any roots from this geographical area, there are many factors that
started in New England that still impact us all. John Putnam will share the importance to understand these events to improve your chances to tackle New England brick walls and to understand the very stressful times in which our ancestors lived.

How to find and use unusual genealogy sources to research your ancestors. Jumpstart your research using uncommon records you may have missed. Let’s look beyond our usual go-to searches and learn some alternative areas of research. In the process, we’ll learn how to create our own genealogy toolbox.

An Introduction to Family Tree Maker 2019
This introductory exploration of Family Tree Maker 2019 (FTM2019) is for those who are just getting started with this genealogy software. In this workshop, participants will learn the advantages to keeping the family
tree on a personal computer rather than a commercial family tree website, explore the toolbars and menus and how they function within the various workspaces available in the software, and how to create a family tree using FTM2019. Participants must have loaded the FTM2019 software onto their laptop prior to this class.
