“Genealogy SHARE” - Mondays – 10:00am to Noon
CRCGS o ers this weekly drop-in event every Monday. Genealogy SHARE is Sharing Help And Research Experience through peer-to- peer collaboration. All levels welcome. Are you looking for a place to SHARE research, discoveries, problems, questions, frustrations & SUCCESSES? Others have found this Monday morning gathering an answer .....you might too! Stop by to tell your story, join the con- versation, and meet friends who relate! Beginner? Out-of-the-loop researcher? Internet-challenged but curious? Wondering about DNA? SHARE is the right place for YOU! (no registration required)
“Ask a Genealogist” - Mon’s 6:30-8:30pm / Wed’s – 9am-Noon No appointment, just a chance to say “hello” and talk to a genealo- gist. Follow signs to the “Fireplace Cove” in the library. Have an easy conversation about those puzzling ancestors, with no pressure. Meet with an experienced researcher behind a friendly face, and  nd out what you’ve been missing. Sounds perfect, doesn’t it?
“Beginning Genealogy” - Thursday, Sept. 6, 6:30-8:30 pm
A class for true beginners. We will touch on how to use records you might already have in your home, how to decide what you need to learn, how and where to  nd the records, analyze them and record them! We’ll introduce pedigree charts, group sheets and much more!

“Practical Genealogy” - Tuesday, September 18, 6:30-8:30pm
A workshop designed for people who have taken the Beginning Ge- nealogy class, and now want to learn the tips and tricks of using their software, how to search on Ancestry and FamilySearch, how to tap into other resources, and how to organize digital and paper  les. It is a workshop, so bring your questions and your laptop. Register online.

Prussia-GermanGenealogy(includingpre-1948EasternGerman Provinces, now largely parts of Poland, Russia, Lithuania). The focus of this discussion will be German-Prussian-Holocaust- Mennonite research. The presentation will explore and demonstrate tools, techniques and effective research approaches.

one of the largest individually owned repositories of Prussian genealogysourcedocumentation(biasedtowardsWestPrussia, East Prussia and Pomerania) that includes maps, source documents, histories, guidance and photographs as well as many other internet resources. Mark has also written hundreds of genealogy articles, maintains numerous genealogy-related websites and has developed numerous Web Search Engines.
