Join us on Thurs., April 21 for a presentation by author, Jolie Gallagher. She will highlight her book “A Wild West History of Frontier Colorado”. She will share tales of gold discovery, feuds, Indian  ghts, outlaws and even early rodeo history. These stories and events shaped the Colorado territory and are a rich glimpse into the early history of the state. Refreshments will be served at 6:45pm with the presentation beginning at 7pm at the Philip S. Miller Library 100 S. Wilcox St. Castle Rock. This event Sat., April 30th at the Denver Marriott South at Park Meadows, is a celebration of the Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce members and the milestones and accomplishments achieved over the last year. In our 67th year of success, with nearly 500 members representing more than 13,000 employees from across Douglas County, the Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce continues to thrive thanks to the support of our members. What better way to learn about Castle Rock’s history than to explore Downtown Castle Rock with a scavenger hunt? Pick up the clue sheets at the Castle Rock Museum between May 1st - June 3rd. Go around town to complete the tasks on the sheet. Bring your family, friends, co- workers or do it on your own. It’s a fun and easy way to learn some history and get to know Castle Rock better.
