At this month’ s meeting the Garden Club welcomes Helen Skiba, owner, Artemis Flower Farm, a dedicated grower and tender of soil, she brings a background in science and poetry to her field work. Helen will share how growing flowers for cuts is different than growing flowers for aesthetics in the garden and how using farm-fresh flowers can bring new life to flower design. She holds a Masters of Science in Agriculture and served in the Peace Corps. Come visit the Douglas County Garden Club at 1:00pm on the 1st Tuesday of the month.
