Aprofessional headshot photographer doubles as an expression coach. As a photographer, the expression on our client’s face is the most important part of their picture.You can have the most perfect lighting set up and be in the most attering pose,but if your expression is bland,it’s not a very compelling headshot.
My job as a photographer is to help you relax in front of the camera and to take control to help create and bring out the best expression possible from you.This is where expression coaching comes in. In order to get a Con dant and Approachable look,your photographer is responsible for guiding you through facial expressions and directing you into creating the key expressions we are looking to convey in your headshot.
One of the techniques in my toolkit is to work on a keyword system.I have my client’s give me a few keywords that best describe them personally and professionally.These are helpful when going through expressions and poses during the session, and when we go through the image selection process together.
As a photographer who works with business professionals daily,I can tell you whether you look like a person a client would approach for business and if you look con dant and approachable.
Working with a pro means taking the best pictures possible. It’s a good investment to put your best face forward.
