In most cases, you will pay most or all costs if you see a provider outside of the plans network. The exception to this would be to enroll on a PPO plan so that you can get some help with the costs. Your always better o sticking with doctors and facilities that are in your plans network. There are set dollar amounts
(copays) depending on which service you get. For example, a hospital visit may cost you $125 copay for the rst 5 days. A visit with a specialist will cost you a $15 co-
pay. Advantage plans can be enrolled in when you rst become eligible for medi- care, or during the annual enrollment period (October 15th to December 7th). Once you are enrolled, if you decide you picked the wrong plan you get an opportunity to switch it (one time) from January to March.
