Tips for people who battle
seasonal allergies
For many, the bright sunshine and warmer temperatures come with a downside; miserable seasonal allergies. If you’re one of millions su ering, this infographic has smart tips on how to best to deal with your symptoms.

country to the next, as

commonly carried through the air by pollen. If you’re one of the millionssu eringfromseasonal allergies, hereareafewwaystoeasy your symptoms ~ and a checklist of things you need to know.
Managed care:
Seasonal allergies are uncomfortable, but you can manage them better by following these tips:
• Removeclothesandshowerimmediatelyafterbeingoutsidefor long periods of time; clothing continues to release pollen even after you’ve come inside
• Use a dryer to dry clothes instead of hanging them outside
• Stayinsidewiththewindowsclosedandusetheairconditioner
in your home, particularly if your symptoms are severe
• Stay inside when pollen counts are highest (10am – 4pm)
• Use a HEPA air  lter in your bedroom
Call a doctor if:
• You have pain in the sinus area and other symptoms of sinus infection. (Symptoms may include fever or a creamy, yellow or green discharge from the nose.)
• Your allergy symptoms get worse and you don’t know why.
• Youaretakingaprescriptionorover-the-counterallergymedicine
that does not help your symptoms.
• Your allergy medicine is causing side e ects that bother you,
such as decreased coordination or increased drowsiness.
• You have a fever or ear pain.
• You have a cough or cold that lasts longer than 1 to 2 weeks.
• You have severe itching of the eyes or nose.
• Your allergy disturbs your life.
