By Janell Ball, RTRP, Pro Accounting & Tax Services
The rst date that the IRS started receiving tax returns was January 28th so if you are due a refund you should re- ceive it in 21 days if you do direct deposit method all other methods take longer. However, they are not guaranteeing they can stay on that timeline.
With tax season underway keep in mind that your tax return will look di erent than in previous years. Instead of forms we have schedules that all the totals ow back to the 1040. e 1040 EZ and 1040 A have been eliminated, everyone will le on the 1040.
W-2’s and 1099’s should’ve been mailed out or posted to your employer website by January 31st. So be on the lookout in your mail or via website for your tax documents that will be coming in, so that you can get them to your tax preparer in a timely and orderly manner.
