To speed refunds the IRS urges taxpayers to le electronically with direct deposit as soon as they have the information they need. As in previous years the IRS will not issue refunds involving
Earned Income Credit and Additional Child Tax Credit until the rst week of March.
For those taxpayers eligible for the stimulus payments and the Advanced Child Tax Payments you will be receiving letters of con rmation from the IRS regarding the amounts you received. Please keep that with your tax documents and give to your tax preparer. By not doing so will slow down your refund and result in a letter from the IRS.
In January you should have received organizers from your tax preparer and then W-2’s and 1099’s will be mailed out or posted to your employer website by January 31st, 2021.
