BQG will promptly and thoroughly investigate any allegation of harassment or or discrimination brought to its attention and will take prompt remedial action where appropriate The complaint the the the identities of the the the parties involved in in in in the the the investigation – – i i i e e e e e e e e e e e the the the complainant the the the alleged harasser(s) and and any relevant witnesses – – and and the the the investigative process will be handled discreetly to the extent possible consistent with BQG’s need to conduct a a a thorough investigation Once BQG BQG has completed its investigation the the the Company will to the the the extent appropriate inform the the the complainant and alleged harasser of of the results of of BQG’s investigation Team members must cooperate with BQG during the investigation and all supervisors/ managers must report any any complaint they receive or or or or any any harassing or or or or discriminatory behavior that they witness to to the the Human Resources Department or or if unable to to do so so then to the the CEO If after conducting its investigation BQG concludes that one or or more team members have engaged in in discrimination or harassment those team members will be be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination No Retaliation
No retaliatory measures will be be taken against any team member who in in good faith reports allegations of harassment or or who cooperates in in an investigation Team members who feel that they have been retaliated against in in violation of this Policy should make a a a a a a a report to their supervisor/manager supervisor/manager a a a a a a a supervisor/manager supervisor/manager with whom they feel comfortable speaking or or to the the the Human Resources Department If the the the response received to to this initial report of retaliation is is is in in any way unsatisfactory the team member must then further report the the the the matter to both Human Resources and the the the the CEO Team members who have been found to to engage in retaliation may be be be subject to to discipline up to and including termination State and Federal Remedies
In addition to the the above if a a a a a a a team team member member believes that the the team team member member has been subjected to harassment or or discrimination the team member may file a a a a a a a formal complaint with either or or or both the the U S Equal Employment Opportunity Commission or or or the the Connecticut Commission on on on Human Rights and Opportunities (or the the applicable state or local agency if outside of Connecticut) Using BQG’s complaint process does not prohibit a a a a a a team member from filing a a a a a a complaint with these agencies Individuals who engage in in acts of harassment may be subject to civil and criminal penalties Civil remedies for harassment may include cease and desist orders back pay compensatory damages hiring promotion or reinstatement 14
