(Drop-in, no registration necessary) Come do a craft project that ties in with our S.T.E.A.M. theme of the month.
Enhanced Storytime (Ages 0-5, with a caregiver)
Saturday, March 14, April 18, and May 9, 10:15 – 11:15 a.m. Registration is required. Register for each date separately These monthly storytimes will expand the early literacy and language skills we always incorporate into storytime by adding stations to explore and develop fine motor, sensory, problem solving, gross motor and social emotional skills. Each family will receive one copy of the featured story to take home and keep. (Made possible by a grant from the Great Start Collaborative)
Chapter Book Review Squad (Chapter book readers)
Month of March
Read a chapter book this month, write a review, and earn an entry for a prize! Review slips will be available at the Youth Desk. Be part of the squad!
March is ‘Read to a Dog Month’ (All ages)
Mondays, March 2, 9, 16, 23, 4:30 - 6:00 p.m. Saturdays, March 7, 14, 21, 28, 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Come to the library and read to a special therapy
dog. They don’t care how fast or how slowly you
read; they are very patient listeners. You can read
one of your books or one of the library books.
The dogs like all kinds of stories. Call the library
or stop in to sign up for a 15 minute time slot. [248-628-3034, ext. 216]
Teddy Bear Sleepover (All ages of stuffed animals)
Do you ever wonder what your stuffed animals do at night? Drop off a favorite stuffed animal at the library for our Teddy Bear Sleepover and you will find out. We’ll take pictures of their fun and post them for you. Drop off one stuffed animal anytime between Monday, March 2 and Thursday, March 5. Pick up your stuffed animal anytime beginning Monday, March 9.
April is Poem in Your Pocket Month (Ages 5-11)
April is Poetry Month! Carry a poem in your pocket or choose one at the Youth Desk during the month of April, read it to a librarian
in the Youth Department, and get entered into a raffle for a special poetry-themed prize. Limit of one entry per day. Drawing will be held on April 30.
Spring Break Crafts (All ages)
Saturday, March 28 through Sunday, April 5 (during regular library hours)
(Drop-in program, no registration required) Drop in anytime while on break and enjoy a variety of spring crafts to make and take home.
Comedy Magic Revue (All ages)

The magic trunk of Gordon Russ is
chock-full of tricks and is bursting at the seams with incredible new illusions! This show has tons of audience participation, with lots of kids coming ‘on stage’ to join the show!
Bike Clinic (All ages)
Sunday, May 31, 1:30 – 4:30 p.m.
(Drop-in program, no registration required) Drop by and learn how to inflate your tires and tighten the brakes on your bike. We’ll have a craft to jazz up your bike to make
sure it’s in tip top shape for summer!
