It’s mid-December as I type this, and probably the end of January as you read it. What a difference a month can make. I am writing in the midst of holiday excitement (or craziness, depending on my state of mind), franticly trying to get everything accomplished “on time”. I am mentally reviewing 2019: what worked, what did not work, what should I change in 2020, and what will my 2020 goals be?
Fast forward to now, as you read this. Did you set goals for 2020? How are they going? Here is the reality – New Year’s Resolutions are not magical fixes, even though we sometimes want them to be. You can set goals at any point in time, and
there is a good chance that the library has something to help you accomplish
them. Get rid of the clutter? Check. Financial goals? Check. Diet and exercise? Check. Learn a language? Check. Be more mindful? Check. Setting goals and changing habits? Check. Read more? Absolutely!
Remember – the wisdom is in the doing.
