Senior Excursions
On Wednesday of Week 11 Term 1, a group of our Year 11 students had the opportunity to
visit the University of Adelaide’s North Terrace campus to participate in their Energy, Mining
& Resources School outreach program. Our students learned about working in the mining
sector and the relevant tertiary pathways, as they experimented with hydrogen-fuelled cars,
investigated rock porosity, listened to a panel that included geotechnical engineers speak
about their careers, and toured some of the research facilities on campus (including an
anechoic chamber).

Adelaide Showgrounds - Career & Employment Expo
On Friday of Week 2 Term 2, the Year 10 - 12 students attended the Employment and
Career Expo at the Adelaide Showgrounds.
The expo is a valuable opportunity for students to discover the many career options
available, and find out the pathways they need to follow in order to achieve them.
