Saving the life of a 70 years old patient after the cerebral arteries were closed, in Mouwasat Hospital Dammam
The medical team at Mouwasat Hospital - Dammam succeeded in saving the life of a seventy-years old patient who was suffering from a recent stroke as a result of the closure of the arteries in the brain, which would have led to his death (God Forbid) if the appropriate therapeutic intervention was delayed at
the required speed.
After the arrival of the case, the medical team made an immediate decision
to use the interventional catheter, which was carried out under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Al-Mahdi, Consultant Interventional Neurologist and Head of the Stroke Program at Mouwasat Hospital - Dammam, and the Consultant
Vascular Surgeon Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeh in addition to the Interventional Radiologist Dr. Muhammad Al-Sayed.Cerebral catheterization is one of the latest procedures used in the treatment of stroke, as it expands the narrowing of the arteries supplying the brain without surgery, which in turn works from
the post-procedure recovery period.
Praise to Allah, the patient recovered and was discharged from the hospital after getting all the diagnostic procedures that confirm complete recovery.
It is worth mentioning that the stroke program at Mouwasat Hospital in Dammam is one of the latest programs that keeps pace with the latest findings in this field, and it is the first integrated program for the treatment of strokes
and brain hemorrhage in private hospitals.
