economical, and incredibly highly constructible design that blends forward-thinking concepts with conventional
features. It will further combine innovative thinking with technology, construction materials, life-cycle assessments,
and energy preservation. This is poised to lead the next wave of supertall structures –those that soar more than 300
meters or 984 feet.
For these buildings, engineers are developing novel ideas and concepts, such as mass dampers, which are weights
that lessen wobble from the wind, and carbon fibre cables for elevators. With elevators capable of moving up to 10
meters per second, the Kingdom Tower’s elevator system will be among the most advanced in the world.
Fortunately, engineers, contractors, and designers can obtain exact information and a comprehensive picture of the
whole project prior to commencing the work, thanks to the advanced BIM and connected construction technologies.
The massive projects will contribute to achieving the key objectives of economic diversification by expanding
employment prospects, stimulating other industries, and promoting economic growth. They have the enormous
potential to boost gross domestic product (GDP), lower unemployment rates, and generate non-oil revenue sources,
all of which are critical for the country's long-term economic stability.
Numerous businesses and government investments in building technologies, including AI, BIM, Mixed Reality,
Robotics, Digital Twins, Connected Construction, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Modular Construction, and
more, have also contributed to the nation's status as a worldwide hub.
Fostering innovation and sustainability
By deploying cutting-edge technology for environmental preservation and the development of massive projects like
Neom, powered entirely by renewable energy, Saudi Arabia is establishing itself as a pioneer in sustainable
development. The Red Sea Project, with an archipelago of over 90 pristine islands and historic archaeological sites,
exemplifies a commitment to eco-friendly tourism and marine conservation, showcasing a dedicated effort to
safeguard the environment for future generations.
Foreign investment and global talent attraction are considered vital to this endeavour. The developments are
positioned to further draw in more foreign firms, investors, and tourists. The Giga projects in Saudi Arabia signify a
revolutionary path towards the country's emergence as a worldwide powerhouse in several industries.
As the Kingdom is relentlessly striving to mark its presence on the global scene, the road forward will have its own
fair share of challenges, and success will rely on a number of variables, such as geopolitical stability and global
economic conditions. Nonetheless, these giga initiatives represent a dedication to mould a bright future for the
country.
