The Evolution of Direct Imaging
John Wilson, Director of Technical Services, MIVA Technologies GmbH
My presentation outlines the evolution of direct imaging from CRT, LCD, and finally DLP.
This development path started with early attempts in the 1980s utilizing blue laser and has led to dedicated
high-energy wavelength technologies required in today’s photo-lithography.
I will cover the next steps of DI technology, from maskless microelectronics applications to high-resolution
high throughput printed electronics and chemical milling.
