 CT Association of Athletic Director’s 35th Annual Conference & Awards Banquet
PERTINENT ISSUES BEING DISCUSSED IN HIGH SCHOOL AND MIDDLE SCHOOL SPORTS PROGRAM
The 36th Annual Athletic Direc- tors Conference will be held on March 26 and 27, 2020 at the Sheraton Hartford South, Rocky Hill, Connecticut. Critical issues in our schools will be discussed in workshops and the CIAC staff will be on hand to review CIAC Rules and Regulations. In addition, two General session speakers are slat- ed. Dave Steven, has a compelling life story about overcoming adver- sity even when it against all odds. Also, Mike Gallina from Canton, OH will make a presentation about the winning spirit athletic adminis- trators can instill in youth.
To compliment this excellent professional program there will 65 exhibitors in attendance showing the newest innovations in sports equipment.

CONNECTICUT ATHLETIC DIRECTOR’S TO HONOR SIX OUTSTANDING INDIVIDUALS
In conjunction with the 36th annual Athletic Director’s confer- ence, the Connecticut Association of Athletic Directors will host their Awards Banquet on Thursday eve- ning, March 26, 2020, 6pm at the Sheraton Hartford South, Rocky Hill, CT.
CAAD will be inducting its fouth Hall of Fame Class by pre- senting awards to two individuals who helped establish the founda- tion for the organization. Pame- la Goodpaster, former AD
at Joel Barlow High School, and John Shukie, former AD at Northwest Catholic High School will be inducted.
Other honorees include; For Dis- tinguished Service- Chris Mey- ers, Newington High School, The State Award of Merit will be given to Jonathan Nadeau, Henry Abbott Technical High School, Meritorious Service Award will be presented to Ellen Turner, Wheeler High School.
In addition six scholarships will be presented to worthy high school senior athletes.
All these recipients have made numerous contributions to athletics in the State of Connecticut and are well deserving of these awards.
