Tony Reich will be the Senior Planner on the team directing the R+P team and co-ordinating the design input with TCI. He will attend key meetings on all matters relating to evaluation, planning and design. His primary role will be as senior facility planner, evaluating the existing galleries and exhibit displays and interpretation as well as visitor flow, technology applications and possible areas for expansion and renewal. He will direct
the team on research and options for the visitor experiences, and will provide input to TCI. Tony is a licensed architect and a founding Principal of Reich+Petch, with more than 40 years of international planning and design experience. His work includes a variety of museums, galleries, exhibitions, and public attractions. Tony formed Reich+Petch in 1987 with his partner, Whit Petch, and has since undertaken hundreds of projects in the cultural and institutional sectors. He has worked on projects in more than 20 countries, including 12 National Museums. He has been widely published internationally and has lectured to associations, institutions, and universities on museum planning and exhibit design. He has a keen ability to accurately capture an organization’s vision and translate it into a case for support that strongly resonates with key stakeholders. He works to challenge the team create exhibit environments that are creatively powerful, memorable, accessible, sound, and achievable.
Emilio Genovese will be responsible for the data collection, spatial analysis and space planning. He will work with the stakeholders collecting data, defining requirements and planning design options. He will ensure that continuity and integrity of the planning concepts are maintained through the project. Emilio will be involved throughout the duration of the project to ensure a holistic fit-to-function space planning study. Emilio has
facilitated many workshops, and lead projects team members to explore innovative solutions to various projects. Prior to joining R+P in 2018, Emilio could be considered a true museum “insider” with his 18 years of experience working at the Royal Ontario Museum where he planned, designed and produced museum exhibitions of all sizes and types.
