Alberts | The Tony Foundation has a strong belief, backed up by research, in the power of music to change lives. The Song Room is a valued partner in our shared mission to ensure a quality, sequential, ongoing music education for every Australian primary school child.”
EMILY ALBERT, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, ALBERTS | THE TONY FOUNDATION
The shared priorities of The Song Room’s friends and partners in 2022 coincided with a pivotal time in educational, economic, and social change. Through our partners’ vison and commitment, The Song Room was able to scale and rapidly respond to challenges while investing in the organisation for future growth.
Lifting the capacity of our people and systems was vital in 2022 to ensure the skills, agility and processes were in place to increase reach and make change in areas that needed it most. The development of programs like the Kaleidoscope arts and wellbeing program demonstrates the innovation and impact that strong partnerships foster.
Capacity building and scoping projects were supported by savvy funders who understand the importance of moving with purpose for greatest impact. Community consultation and rigorous program planning have set The Song Room up with a clear understanding of what’s needed and where to next. It has also helped us focus our attention on the funding and partnerships needed to address the unmet needs across the community.
The Song Room is extremely grateful to every individual donor and organisation who supports young people to realise their potential through one of The Song Room programs. Thank you.
