CAPABILITIES: MU90: the lightweight torpedo
Resulting from a Franco-Italian cooperation, the MU90 is the only totally new lightweight torpedo in the world. Its impressive embed- ded acoustic and dynamic capabilities also allow the weapon used in anti-surface missions and, with a few adaptations, in anti-torpedo roles. Sea proven with more than 250 trials, including warshot fir- ings, and over 1,000 units produced, the MU90 guarantees full opera- tional maturity and reliability.
CANTO® represents a breakthrough in the field of anti-torpedo de- fence. Based on dilution/confusion concept, it is the only solution capable of protecting surface vessels and submarines against both the most advanced and the previous generation torpedoes.
