CAPABILITIES: The Giraffe Agile Multi Beam (G-AMB) radar is a sur- veillance and tracking radar designed for naval and land-based ap- plications. The Giraffe AMB radar has been delivered on the Canberra Class amphibious ships and to the Australian Army for the force pro- tection role in Afghanistan. In both land-based and naval versions, the radar provides a sense and warn facility enabling protection of friendly forces from rocket, artillery and mortar attacks and, when integrated with appropriate weapons, provides a total Counter Rock- et, Artillery and Mortars (C-RAM) capability.
