WOMEN IN COLLISION
We’re already looking forward to our second Women in Collision seminar and awards presentation.
LADIES, LET’S MEET IN MELBOURNE
WE HAD SUCH overwhealmingly positive feedback from our first seminar that we’ll be holding the second Women in Collision seminar and awards presentation on Friday, November 16 in Melbourne.
We’ll have an afternoon of speakers and group discussion sessions and then we’ll present the 2018 Women in Collision winners with their trophies. This year there will be eight winners as we’ve added a new category. We’ve had a few nominations from suppliers for our Women in Collision awards, sponsored by IAG, but up until now only women working at an autobody repairer have been eligable in the three categories of management, administration and tradespeople.
We’re delighted to announce that there is now a category for women working in
companies that supply
bodyshops. We know of so
many great women working
in paint companies, crash
supply shops, out on the
road with the likes of 3M
and other equipment and supply companies. Let’s recognise their contribution to the industry as well, but please note that entries close at the end of September, so head for our website soon to make your nomination. It’s been another record year for nomination with nearly 120 so far.
KEYNOTE SPEAKER JILL BAPTIST
This year’s keynote speaker is IAG executive general manager, customer futures, Jill Baptist. She joined IAG in 2011 to lead the change program for Direct Insurance (streamlining IAG’s motor repair network and introducing initiatives to improve the repair experience for customers). Baptist then moved into the program director role for the customer and product division before being

Baptist began her career in Financial Services, firstly in Financial Markets in London followed by 17 years with Westpac/ Bank of Melbourne in Sydney and Melbourne. She is passionate about improving customer experiences and creating the cultures which support this though helping people to thrive.
Troy Johns from IAG said: “The Women in Collision Awards get bigger, better and brighter every year. The truth is the awards shine the spotlight on women in collision businesses every day, from managing autobody shops and displaying their skills as technicians, to critical customer service and administrative roles. We are proud to support this ongoing initiative, and while we can only present a few
awards on the day, this is about celebrating and recognizing all women throughout the autobody industry.”
