acquires
Airstream WHOLESALER BEIJER REF has signed an
agreement to acquire all the shares in Aus- tralian distribution company Airstream.
The company is a manufacturer and dis- tributor of ducting and associated fittings within Australia’s air conditioning industry.
The company was established in 2011 and consists of 14 employees.
The majority of Airstream’s sales are made locally in Perth. Airstream has been operat- ing as part of the iZone business, forming an integral part of their home solutions offering. Annual sales are approximately SEK 40 mil- lion ($A6.2million).
“AUSTRALIA IS AN IMPORTANT MARKET FOR BEIJER REF.
In a statement, Beijer Ref said the acquisi- tion strengthens its overall presence in West- ern Australia.
“AirstreamwillbeintegratedintoBeijerRef’s subsidiary, ACD Trade, and the acquisition will have a minor impact on the Beijer Ref Group’s result and position,” the statement said.
Beijer Ref CEO, Christopher Norbye, said Australia is an important market for the wholesaler.
“It is pleasing that we have found an op- portunity to grow even further in this re- gion,” Norbye said.
“Airstream, which is a well-managed and fast-growing company with a good profita- bility, will add value to our group.
“They offer several new products, such as patented zoning and connection systems. This acquisition greatly enhances our posi- tion in the residential ducted market and, more broadly, into the commercial segment of our industry.”
Big product plans for 2022
TOTALINE STORES PROVIDE specialist prod- ucts for the air-conditioning, heating and refriger- ation trade with a choice of aftermarket solutions nationally through a national network of trade outlets across Australia.
Totaline are also the Factory Authorised Parts suppliers for Carrier & Toshiba brand air condi- tioners and Carrier commercial products.
This year, Totaline’s focus has been on creating a point-of-difference as an HVACR wholesaler with an array of innovative products and an ever-ex- panding product offering to the marketplace.
Furthermore, the dedicated team at Totaline have worked hard during the last 18 months to cre- ate efficiency and operate innovatively to add val- ue for customers.
One of the key operative changes has been around increased stock holdings to keep up with the demand of the Carrier and Toshiba air condi- tioners, refrigeration and spare parts.
AHIC ANZ general manager,Vijay Dravid said the pandemic has changed the HVAACR market and there has been minimal human interaction.
In line with the current customer requirements, Totaline have learnt to adapt, and have launched a new online ecommerce platform that will bring value to customers.
“The ecommerce platform enables our customers to purchase our entire product offering from a single window,” he said. The online store includes Toshiba & Carrier’s new innovative, efficient and feature packed R32 air conditioners with a special mention of the added 7-year warranty on Toshiba systems. As Australia opens up, many businesses are continuing to evaluate the indoor air quality of their facilities.
“Keeping this in mind, we at Totaline are plan- ning to add several new products such as portable
air conditioners, air curtains, air purifiers & vari- ous other air movement products,” Dravid said.
One product is the Carrier Opticlean which has won the Times 2020 Best Innovations Award.
It is a mobile air purifier built by Carrier that has two air-scrubbing functions. It can turn a room into a so-called negative air-pressure space to pre- vent potentially contaminated air from flowing out, pushing it instead through a high-efficiency HEPA filter before releasing it back into the room.
“THE E-COMMERCE PLATFORM ALLOWS CUSTOMERS TO PURCHASE OUR ENTIRE PRODUCT OFFERING FROM A SINGLE WINDOW.”
These products will soon be available at Tota- line branches nationally from the first quarter of 2022.
“Carrier Opticlean Air-scrubber is a versatile unit, ideal for a wide range of applications such as schools, aged care facilities, and medical facilities to name a few,” he said.
Totaline is associated with many international brands like Embraco, Frascold, Danfoss, CPS, Emer- son, TESTO, Parker, Zoomlock as well as many oth- ers. We also proudly support local companies such as Actron Controls, Tesuco, Pro Pipe and many more.
“At Totaline, we pride ourselves with the sup- port we provide to our customers, with branches all over Australia, and a talented team who are well equipped to handle technical queries and as- sist where possible,” Dravid said.
