Purafil Antimicrobial PuraWard F8 Pocket Filters
PuraWard technology goes beyond the trapping of particles and aerosols carrying viruses. Using a microtechnology containing an EPA registered antimicrobial additive, the PuraWard filter is protected from viruses using copper and silver ions.

Purafil PuraWard technology includes a component that invokes a low pH on the surface of the fibre. The low pH environment allows for a rapid inactivation of the virus by altering the 3-dimensional structure of the virus’ “protein coat”. The altered pH and the presence of the positively charged Copper and Silver ions further binds the proteins to result in a further loss of the function of the protein and the subsequent inactivation of the virus.
