For an intense depth of shade, Spies Hecker introduces Permasolid clear coat colour maroon additive 9048, a new additive for accurate paint repair of special red colours.
The new clear coat additive is the ninth in the range and is particularly suitable for the repair of the new colour Soul Red Crystal from Mazda.
Axalta product and technical manager for Australia and New Zealand Jim Iliopoulos said the coats are developed to offer refinishers specific support for their work with clear coats.

BASLAC 40-50 CLEARCOAT
The Baslac 40-50 Clearcoat was developed specifically to have a super-fast drying time at ambient temperatures. A fast 30-minute air dry to polish time allows bodyshops the possibility to increase productivity with their existing equipment.
Baslac 40-50 can also be baked for 10 minutes, but regardless whether baked or air dried, 40-50 High Productivity Fast Clear will reduce process times and provide the bodyshop with an opportunity to increase repair capacity.

AXALTA S5200 FLEX CLEAR COAT
Axalta has expanded its Syrox refinish system to include S5200 Flex clear coat to help refinishers save time and energy thank to the clear’s rapid drying performance.
The Flex clear’s specially developed formulation promotes low, ready for use viscosity allowing users easy application in two coats and short intermediate flash off time.
In just 15 minutes, the clear coat has dried and is ready for polishing allowing refinishers to optimise work processes in the bodyshop.
With shorter drying times, more cars are processed through the booth offering potential reductions in energy consumption. It is also very flexible in use – from speed repair to multi-panel repairs.
