light commercial projects, the new Mid Static Slimline R32 (HP) models have a maximum pipe length of 75m.
The standard Mid Static Slimline R32 models offer a maximum pipe length of 30m to 50m.
Cleaning and maintenance is more efficient with an easy to access heat exchanger, and de- tachable drain pump with the entire hose still at- tached. The printed circuit board (PCB) is also simple to remove and replace.
A new auto static pressure setting adjust- ment on the remote control makes installation and set-up faster. Alternatively, the static pres- sure can be effortlessly changed via the remote controller.
Additionally, Fujitsu General has improved the maximum guaranteed operating tempera- ture range, with an increase from up to 46 de- grees to 50 degrees in cooling mode on the new Mid Static Slimline R32 models.
They are Demand Response enabled and Zone System compatible.
The new units can be operated using 2-wire and 3-wire remote controllers as well as Fujitsu General’s anywAiR technology ducted con- troller, which provides Wi-Fi control via the anywAiR app with selected smartphone and tablet devices.

Blue Frontier’s energy storing, electrically driven, desiccant enhanced evaporative cool- ing air conditioning system (BF ES/AC) com- bines two familiar processes: a desiccant, la- tent-cooling stage, followed by an indirect evaporative cooling stage.
This combined process significantly re- duces the energy required to generate air conditioning and is suitable for all climates – both dry and humid. The company’s pat- ented system includes an added component for storing excess renewable energy and/or waste heat in the form of a high concentra- tion salt solution.
fit for installers
FUJITSU GENERAL HAS LAUNCHED NEW MID STATIC SLIMLINE R32 AND MID STATIC SLIMLINE R32 HIGH PERFORMANCE (HP) MODELS SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED WITH A NARROW 240MM HIGH CHASSIS AND BUILT-IN DRAIN PUMP, TO COMFORTABLY FIT IN TIGHTER BULKHEAD OR CEILING APPLICATIONS.
ANZ HEAD OF product at Fujitsu General, Kyle Rafter, said contemporary home designs are presenting air conditioning installers with the ongoing challenge of space limitation within the ceiling or bulkhead for creating a drain slope.
He said Fujitsu General achieved this new compact chassis by redesigning the fins whilst maintaining performance.
“The new Mid Static Slimline R32 models demonstrate Fujitsu General’s commitment to expanding its R32 product offering, while also providing mechanical contractors with prod- ucts that solve installation issues they are regu- larly coming across.”

Partnership to commercialise cooling technology
BLUE FRONTIER AND Modern Niagara Group have formed a joint product development, man- ufacturing and commercialisation partnership.
Blue Frontier is a United States-based clean- tech startup that has developed an air condition- ing technology that is much more efficient than conventional systems.
This new air conditioning technology is de- signed to address all the principal sustainability issues of conventional air conditioning technology.
This includes the elimination of high global warm- ing potential refrigerants, reductions of energy con- sumption by up to 90 per cent, and shifting of the air conditioner's electricity consumption so that it is con- sistent with periods of renewable energy generation.
Blue Frontier's technology is unique because it integrates energy storage and air conditioning in a single device without using conventional bat- teries. This makes the system's electricity con-
sumption flexible and controllable so that it only occurs when renewable energy is plentiful.
Modern Niagara CEO, Brad McAninch, said the air conditioning manufacturer is keen to support sustainable cooling that saves both en- ergy and money.
“Blue Frontier's revolutionary design and ap- proach to building HVAC is the best we have seen,” he said.
“The technology is credible, disruptive and provides an exciting improvement to the ser- vices we could provide our clients in the com- ing years.
“We are pleased to be working together to bring the first product, a packaged rooftop unit, to market.”
Blue Frontier CEO, Dr Daniel Betts, said the collaboration will increase speed to market.
