                 Sleek design, optimal comfort
TOSHIBA HAS INTRODUCED the all new Shorai range of split air conditioner systems with ultra-sleek edge design and higher performance for residential applications.
The equipment is offered with widely recog- nised low GWP R32 refrigerant and in seven cooling/heating capacities starting from 2kW to 7kW, according to Vijay Dravid, general manag- er, AHIC Australia & New Zealand.
“With exemplary performance and edge de- sign, the Shorai range sets a new standard in de- sign and brings to the users better aesthetics to suit residential interiors,” he said.
“THE SHORAI EDGE OFFERS INTUITIVE REMOTE CONTROL FUNCTIONS.”
“The twin rotary compressor provides greater efficiency for both heating and cooling, with a very quiet operation. The equipment has smart controls that allows complete flexibity to users to operate the system.”
Designed to perfectly blend into multiple types of interiors, Shorai Edge’s new matt finish and straight lines brings a stylish, contemporary look to suit residential homes, city apartments or lofts.
“It’s indoor unit chassis can be quickly and eas- ily mounted to any wall, thanks to cut-out mark- ings for piping connections,” Dravid said.
The Shorai Edge has been designed to offer very quiet operation, while delivering optimal comfort. It offers one of the quietest outdoor units, with a sound level of 60 dB (A). Moreover, its Silent function cuts outdoor unit noise levels to ensure peaceful surroundings for neigh- bours, while its Quiet function reduces noise inside the home to ensure a good night’s sleep
for users.
The equipment has been designed to use R32
refrigerant for low environmental impact and deliver high class energy performance for both heating and cooling.
It also offers great part load efficiencies which is amongst the best in its category.
There are seven models ranging from 2.0 to 7.0 kW for cooling and 2.5 to 8.0 kW for heating,
Toshiba’s innovative rotary compressor and inverter technology allows the Shorai Edge to always regulate heating and cooling capacity, by adjusting compressor speed precisely to meet demand.
Shorai Edge also introduces HADA Care, an innovative new cooling technology that enhanc- es air distribution in the room to optimise mois- ture levels.
The design of the louver position generates in- direct air flow, circulating air at the top of the room to regulate room temperature and improve comfort for occupants.
Meanwhile, its PM2.5 Ultra-Pure Filter cap- tures up to 94 per cent of fine particulate matters with a diameter of less than 2.5 micrometres de- livering pure air to the room.
According to Dravid, the Shorai Edge offers in- tuitive remote-control functions to make every- day life simpler, including pre-set functions, pow- er select and ECO modes to optimise the room temperature at night, and Hi-power for rapid cooling or heating and easy scheduling, a weekly timer allows users to set ‘on and off’ times.
Shorai Edge is also designed for Wi-Fi con- trol through the wireless adapter (offered sepa- rately) and Toshiba Home AC Control mobile app, offering ease of control and a greater abil- ity to remotely manage your comfort from home or away.
