MOTORSERVE NEW BRAND, NEW STORES
G
ROWTH AND BRAND AWARENESS
will be the focus for the Mo- torserve business over the next two years, with stores launching
across the country and the intro- duction of new products and services.
Formerly owned by NRMA Motoring & Services, Motorserve was acquired by Insurance Australia Group (IAG) in Feb- ruary 2020.
Under IAG, Motorserve has expanded its service offering beyond car servic- ing, mechanical repairs and safety in- spections, to now offering insurance tri- age services from some of its locations.
Since the beginning of the year the business has opened six new Motorserve stores across New South Wales, Victoria
and Queensland, plus it now provides insurance services at seven of its exist- ing Motorserve stores.
This provides IAG’s customers (such as NRMA Insurance, CGU and RACV Insur- ance policyholders) with a single drop- off and pick-up point if their vehicle needs repairs, reducing the time spent on multiple trips to have a vehicle assessed, quoted and repaired. Depending on their policy, customers are also able to pick-up a hire car onsite to keep them mobile or will be provided with a taxi voucher.
As part of this service, the business has created a new role – Motorserve Repair Ad- visor. Repair Advisors are responsible for customer engagement during the insur- ance triage process. The role suits people
with experience either in a smash repair or car servicing business, who may want to move off the tools or broaden their career.
Motorserve CEO, Andrew Boath, said: “We’re constantly looking at ways we can provide exciting motoring services and products for motorists. Our goal is to become a one-stop-shop for all of our customers’ motoring needs in the fu- ture. We’re also expanding our network and aim to have nearly 50 stores nation- ally within the next couple of years.”
In terms of other new service offer- ings, Motorserve has invested in multi- ple wheel alignment machines and Safe- T-Stop equipment in its stores, to assess the health of a vehicle’s brakes, wheel alignment and suspension. If any issues are found, they can be fixed on the spot by the team of Motorserve mechanics.
Additionally, a trial will soon be un- derway with an Advanced Driver Assis- tance System (ADAS) calibration equip- ment to be installed in the Seven Hills (Sydney) store.
Motorserve has also introduced a new logo and brand material which will roll out to all its stores. More information at: www.motorserve.com.au
