IQ SAFETY LAUNCHES NEW BRAND AND WEBSITE
iQ Safety has launched a new website to assist its spill-solutions customers, and has aligned its branding with its parent company Matthews Australasia.
The new site is aimed at better serving iQ Safety’s widening customer base, according to business manager Sandra Ducak.
“In the past few years, we’ve added a lot of breadth to our range of top global safety products, focusing on spill and hazardous- goods management,” she said.
The website incorporates what Ducak calls an industry-first product comparison tool, including drop-down menus that show different size options when products are part of the same sub-category.
“This is important, because while having safety-management tools on hand is vital in manufacturing, it’s just as important to have the right product for the job,” said Ducak.
iQ Safety has also adopted what Ducak calls a “thoroughly modern” branding, incorporating the chameleon from parent company Matthews and a new tagline – “intelligent spill management” – that better reflects what the company does.

CURRIE GROUP ANNOUNCES 3D PRINTING PARTNERSHIP
Leading ANZ graphic arts industry supplier Currie Group is investing into the 3D printing sector, with a partnership equity agreement in 3D solutions developer EVOK3D.
EVOK3D is a specialised 3D printing and additive manufacturing (AM) solutions company, now in its seventh year of operation. It is the HP 3D Production Specialist Partner for Australia, and is at the forefront of local industry adoption of additive manufacturing.
Its core business is supplying and supporting professional and production 3D printing solutions, which includes machinery, consumables and software.
Currie Group says the new partnership will accelerate the ongoing growth in the EVOK3D sales and support capability, whilst leveraging the Currie Group management experience into the company and giving it access to Currie Group’s footprint in Australia and New Zealand.
David Currie, executive chairman at Currie Group, said, “The strategic partnership represents exciting business opportunities in new markets for both companies, and for our customers.
“Celebrating our 70th anniversary this year, Currie Group brings a wealth of industry knowledge and experience relevant to the current industrial adoption of 3D printing and additive manufacturing.”
Joe Carmody, EVOK3D managing director said, “3D printing has moved beyond just prototyping and is now a viable direct manufacturing technology. To meet the growing demand for these technologies, we needed to scale the business. Currie Group is ideally positioned, having pioneered digital disruption of the 2D print industry over the last 20 years. For our clients across education, design, industry, and healthcare, it means they can continue to invest with confidence.” 

JET AND SCREEN CELEBRATE SUCCESSFUL DECADE
Jet Technologies is celebrating 10 years of partnership success with Screen GP, as the two companies gear up for 2020 with new Screen products.
The partnership came into being when Screen added flexo CTP to its offset platesetter range, and turned to Jet Technologies in ANZ to be its distributor to the label market, a new area for the pioneering innovator.
“Screen GP is renowned for manufacturing and supporting great equipment, but locally our expertise lay in the commercial offset market,” Peter Scott, managing director at Screen
GP said. “When talking to label converters in 2009, it quickly became obvious we needed some help, and that is when it all started with Jet Technologies.
“Since then we have combined our strengths to steadily grow our number of satisfied customers with our flexo CtP and inkjet label presses,” Scott continued. “Screen GP is happy with the partnership
and we look forward to building on our success over the next 10 years.”
Combining Screen GP’s engineering and technical service with Jet Technologies’ market and application knowledge in the flexographic market, the partnership has been a success, with installations across Australia, and more recently in New Zealand and Indonesia.
When Screen GP launched its inkjet label press – the Truepress Jet L350UV – the partnership went to the next level. Over the years, Jet Technologies has provided substantial input into the features and performance of subsequent models and upgrades.
The L350UV, which Screen GP has just announced will have an upcoming new release, is now recognised as one of the world’s leading inkjet presses for narrow web.
“In a world of fast-changing partnerships, it’s refreshing to play a role in a partnership that continues to strengthen over the years and remains
