Select customers are already experiencing the increased security, reliability, efficiency, and remote work flexibility of Prinergy On Demand, hosted and managed by Kodak in the cloud under a cost-effective monthly subscription. Prinergy On Demand is backed by
the secure network infrastructure of Microsoft Azure, so customers can be confident that their data and system are always protected. Prinergy On Demand is available now.
Fastest 8-up CTP
Kodak is introducing what is describes as the world’s fastest eight-page CTP for process-free plates with the new Kodak Magnus Q800 Platesetter with T-Speed. The Magnus Q800 will now be able to image up to 80 plates per hour. Faster imaging speeds need automation
that can keep up, so Kodak is also introducing an updated Multi-Pallet Loader with a capacity of up to 3200 plates. The T-Speed Magnus Q800 Platesetter will be in production in September, while the 1500 plates per pallet capacity loader is now shipping.
Advancing
Kodak says it is investing in advancing print technology, doubling down on digital print and delivering the products its customers need to drive productivity and growth as
the industry evolves. It says printers can rely on the full range of Kodak solutions, from offset plates to workflow software to digital presses, to deliver performance that pays. 21

Inkjet reimagined
Kodak says its Prosper Ultra 520 Press takes inkjet to the next level, delivering offset-like quality at a constant speed of 150 metres a minute on glossy papers with high ink coverage and variable print – all at what Kodak says is the lowest cost of operation.
It is the first Kodak-manufactured press using Kodak’s UltraStream writing system that employs high- precision placement of smaller, perfectly round, satellite-free drops to produce what Kodak says is the highest inkjet image quality available.
The Prosper Ultra 520 prints width up to 520 mm, maximising productivity by printing across a broad range of substrates using what the company claims is the industry’s most versatile, highest quality, and cost-effective water-based inks. Kodak says the new press will
help printers profitably grow
their businesses across a range of applications, including direct mail, marketing collateral, catalogues,
and books. Orders are now being taken for the Prosper Ultra 520, with shipments planned following beta testing at the end of the year.

With run lengths of up to 20,000sqm, or more with variable content, Kodak says the Sapphire EVO W is a disruptive solution that allows brands to adopt innovative packaging that leverages the advantages of digital printing. The Sapphire EVO W Press is available today worldwide.
Sonora XTRA
Kodak continues with its innovations in process free plate technology,
with the industry’s next-generation plate, which it says delivers stronger image contrast, improved handling robustness, and faster imaging speeds. The new Sonora XTRA process free plate is scheduled to be available at the end of the year.
Kodak says Sonora plate technology is the world’s most widely used process-free plate technology, embraced by 4,000 printers around the world, and is also becoming increasingly popular in Australia. Advance Press, based in Bassendean (Perth), is among the successful users of Sonora Plates in the country and attaches great importance to
the sustainability of its business activities. The full-service print provider was awarded the highest distinction with the 2019 Kodak Sonora Plate Green Leaf Award.
