to go on
Global wide format event Fespa has been rescheduled to take place next March, so Print21 looks at the big stories that would have been seen in Madrid but are now available from the manufacturers.
The international specialist print community was due to descend on Madrid on 6-8 October for Fespa Global Print Expo 2020. Fespa is
the world’s largest exhibition for screen and digital wide format printing, textile printing, and sign making.
With the twice rescheduled show set for next March, exhibitors will release their new products between now and then, with innovations in screen and digital printing presses, consumables, workflow, and colour management.
Wide format printing, in common with commercial printing, took a big
hit in the Covid quarter. In Australia spending on printed outdoor media fell by a whopping two thirds in that second quarter, but by June it was starting to pick up again, with 23 per cent more than the previous two months.
Manufacturers and developers will be aiming to enable printers to capitalise on the post-Covid growth with a host of new releases coming.

This printing system can be equipped with peripheral systems for three quarter automation or full automation.

All P5 printing systems are equipped with the new production software solution Durst Workflow Print and the monitoring tool Durst Analytics. The company says this makes the printer into a production unit from day one. Durst also offers a scalable solution for integrating e-commerce with the Durst Smart Shop. All Durst software can be modularly extended and managed via a web-based user interface.
