               S HIPSTONE ACCIDENT
REPAIR SPECIALISTS
Shipstone Accident Repair Specialists — an AMA Group business in Windsor, Queensland — has been awarded I-CAR Gold Class col-
lision status.
“Our people are at the centre of every-
thing we do,” says Scott Donnelly, na- tional manager – prestige, OEM & techni- cal at AMA Group. “It’s great to be able to invest in their ongoing training and de- velopment. It has been very rewarding to see them enjoy this process and the sense of achievement at the end.”
Shipstone centre manager Dan Gosling congratulated his staff on this achieve- ment: “They have put in an amazing ef- fort this year and the I-CAR Gold status recognises their commitment to the com- pany and the training required to work on the modern vehicle safely and correctly”.
I-CAR’s multiple training partners and delivery options gave Shipstone great flexibility to train technicians without losing too much shop time. They found in-house training modules from Glasurit excellent, from a timing point of view, and benefited from I- CAR’s training alliance relationships with Audi, Porsche, and Car-O-Liner.
FLOW AUTOBODY
Also in Queensland, Flow Autobody in Enoggera has achieved Gold.
“In our workshop, we value continuous learning to drive quality work and live up to our promise of high-quality repairs. We de- cided to take the I-CAR Road to Gold jour- ney to upskill the entire team and make sure we are up-to-date with current trends and technologies,” said owner Jai Aguilar.
“Everyone was willing to join the I-CAR program from the get-go, and we were able to get a lot of value from it. The train- ing was also a good break from the usual
day to day work. It gave us the opportu- nity to learn as a team and the group classes were enjoyed by everyone which has really helped to galvanise the team.
“We aspire to be a world class workshop, and we believe continuous improvement and learning is the key to get there. The I- CAR Gold Class training program will pro- vide us with the learning content as the courses are very relevant to the current col- lision industry and highlights the complex- ity of modern vehicles and skills and knowledge required to repair them to a safe and high level.”
DUNCAN SMASH REPAIRS
Duncan Smash Repairs in Narrabri, NSW is now a Gold Class shop.
“We decided to join the Road to Gold program to keep up to date with the growing technology in the repair indus-
try, which has enabled us to expand on our knowledge and provide an excellent service to our customers. After getting started, we found the process quite easy with the various options of training methods available. As we are in a remote location, being able to complete the train- ing using online courses and virtual classroom has given us the ability to achieve our Gold Class status,” said own- er Marshall Duncan.
“We used a combination of I-CAR’s virtual classes, online courses, and steel welding certification, and found all training methods were really good. Ad- ditionally, AkzoNobel delivered product specific training to our refinishers that assisted with the Road to Gold program. The virtual classes were good as we could set up a classroom environment to watch and learn as a team, and it gave
