CAR-O-LINER CMI WELDERS HAVE AUTO-PULSE TECHNOLOGY FOR
advanced pulse welding of aluminium and are designed for all materials and individual welding applications, including high strength steel. The 4-wheel wire feed system provides a smooth, reliable wire feed even on softer wires such as aluminium or with MIG brazing. The CMI welders are designed to meet the increasing demands for joining the many new materials used in today’s car construction. With two torches, the CMI twin models offer an easy switch-over between welding and brazing operations without hav- ing to change hoses, wires, wire drive rolls or gas.
AUTOMATED FUNCTIONS
Whether carrying out simple MIG/MAG or complex welding op- erations, the machine’s preset welding programs and automated functions easily handle the entire welding process through the fully digital control panel. Since the joining of special alloy thin plates requires a gentle process this has been built into the memory of the CMI3000 II and the corrosion and strength properties of the material are maintained and only a little post-treatment is re- quired thanks to a minimum of weld spatter and heat input.
The CMI3000 II has been developed for use in light industrial applications, and for modern car body work where heavy demands are placed on the shop to continually adjust their processes to en- sure high quality welding operations. MIG brazing high-tensile steel is a specialty of CMI3000 II.
It comes with Program Wizard to guide you to the appropriate program for your job. The revolutionary Quattro Pulse enables the technician to produce the optimum pinch off the wire. This is par- ticularly important when welding thin materials as it keeps the heat input to a minimum consequently maintaining the strength and anti-corrosion coating of the steel while at the same time pro- ducing a tig-like weld.
MIG brazing with the CMI3000 II is the perfect choice when weld- ing galvanised and high strength steels as this method allows for the maintenance of anti-corrosion coatings and structural strength.
