Lego legacy
Celebrating 20 years of Lego Star Wars fandom, Lego has released tribute sets based on the iconic franchise and sets-gone-by.
TWENTY years ago, in a galaxy far, far away, the Lego Star Wars collaboration entered the lives of millions of children and fans around the world. In 2019, the Lego Group is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the much-loved range that continues to unite fans of all ages and has inspired some of the greatest battles ever built.
To mark the 20th anniversary, Lego has released several special sets featuring iconic ships and exclusive throwback minifigures
in tribute of the Lego Star Wars history. These new sets are a recreation of some of the most iconic and popular sets from the last twenty years.
Kids aged 10 and over will love the 20th anniversary edition of Boba Fett’s Slave I starship from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, a detailed reinterpretation of Boba Fett’s classic Slave I. This iconic Lego Star Wars starship is the most detailed version to date, featuring a self-levelling cockpit seat and side wings, a carry handle for easy transport and trigger-fired spring-loaded shooters. This amazing Lego Star Wars collectible construction toy also includes a
closing rear hatch to store Han Solo in Carbonite element and four Lego Star Wars minifigures, plus a bonus
Princess Leia minifigure and 20th anniversary logo display stand to
mark this momentous milestone in the history of Lego Star Wars sets.
Anakin Skywalker’s amazing Podracer
is a reinterpretation of the original model released in 1999 and features big engines, extending flaps, space to fit the young Anakin minifigure in the cockpit and a play handle that lets the younger kids from seven years
old play out endless Star Wars: The Phantom Menace races around the living room. This cool building toy also includes a Padmé Amidala minifigure plus a bonus Luke Skywalker minifigure on a 20th anniversary display stand.
The original Snowspeeder model released in 1999 has been updated with a special 20th Anniversary Edition. Kids will enjoy playing with the various features such as an opening cockpit with space for the Luke Skywalker and Dak Ralter minifigures in pilot suits, laser cannons, a spring-loaded shooter under each wing, plus a stud shooter and harpoon with string at the rear. This commemorative Lego Star Wars building toy also includes an elevating and rotating gun tower with stud shooter for epic Battle of Hoth action from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, plus a bonus Lando Calrissian minifigure from 2003 on a 20th anniversary display stand.
