Welcome to the March April issue of Print21, written as the world wrestles with climate change, and now the coronavirus, we’ll see how that plays out.
The vicissitudes of life are always there, one person that has been through more than most over a 50 year career in print is Michael Hannan, who grew his business to be on the big kahunas of Aussie print, make sure you read his story in the opening spread

I receive, but as far as print goes there is no doubt we are in the middle of one, as we move from analogue to digital, and as digital opens up new areas of opportunity. This issue of Print21 looks at the latest developments in B2 sheetfed digital, and in webfed inkjet, both of which will feature heavily in the coming years, and both of which will attract the interest of print business owners.
Offset is still the primary producer of print in this country, and most others, Print21 runs the rule over the latest developments from the big five press manufacturers, who are working overtime to give printers what they want – quality, flexibility, options, speed to market.
Sustainability is one area where print scores, its transition from a dirty to clean industry over the past three decades has been nothing short of remarkable. In this issue of Print21 we take a tour around the Close the Loop recycling facility – that’s where I was in the photo above – and Two Sides presents research on the reality of print versus digital communications, it’s a big tick for print.
