Revolution in Print
C14000 series will be a game- changer for the industry. With
the TU-510 inline trimmer unit and advanced automation features designed
to maximise efficiency these presses
will provide significant value to those in high-volume printing environments where deadlines are tight, quality is key, and efficiencies must be gained.”
Better quality
These high-end AccurioPress models come with the Intelligent Quality Optimiser (IQ-501) as standard. The IQ-501 helps ensure higher colour quality and greater consistency. The IQ-501 includes advanced colour correction, front-to-back registration adjustment at front and rear, and profile creation. It streamlines operator time, reduces print waste, and raises productivity through its automated features.
Controlling density, tone, colour, and registration values used to be a manual, technical process. The quality of the resulting pages depended to a great extent on the capability and technical know-how of the operator. Now, these operations are performed automatically as the operator requires. Real-time quality monitoring, correction and inspection functions are completed for every sheet in production, ensuring that print quality remains from page 1 to page 1000.
As well as improving labour efficiency by as much as 30 per cent, Konica Minolta says the IQ-501 also ensures that even the newest and least-experienced operators can deliver the same high-quality output time after time. Continuous monitoring and the closed-loop process controls mean
that, as every print is checked, on-the-fly adjustments can be made to ensure high- quality colour and registration results.
Sue Threlfo said, “Clients have been asking for a flatter look in terms of the image on the page and that is what these digital presses deliver. It is a look that closely mimics offset printing rather than a higher gloss finish. The quality is exceptional.
“Print samples from these presses
have Australian printers champing at the bit to get their hands on the C14000 or C12000, and sales for the first AccurioPress C14000’s installations are secured. We look forward to seeing them in action in the coming weeks.”
Enhanced productivity
The AccurioPress C14000 series is designed to make commercial printers more cost effective. The high degree of automation and inline finishing tools mean less work
is required on behalf of operators, making printing jobs more efficient as well as faster. This lets printers take on more jobs in less time, increasing profit margins.
Furthermore, instead of having to
run two or three presses to get the same speeds, commercial printers can choose just one AccurioPress C14000 or C12000 digital print system. This brings with it cost savings in terms of maintenance and servicing, since only one press needs to be maintained and serviced.
The 30 per cent labour saving offered by the IQ-501 is also a substantial cost-saver for commercial printers. Less labour and faster turnaround means higher profits.
Sue Threlfo said “The AccurioPress C14000 series is ideal for helping Australian printers attract and retain new customers, providing exceptional quality output at high speeds. This will let printers be more productive and turn high-quality jobs around faster, delivering an outstanding customer experience.”

Reliable service
Commercial printers rely on their equipment being up and running at all times. Downtime means customers are left waiting for their jobs, which can result in dissatisfied customers who may decide to take their business elsewhere. When presses aren’t running, printers aren’t earning. Therefore, commercial printers are increasingly putting service at the top of their wish-list when choosing a vendor.
Konica Minolta has developed a strong reputation for service and reliability. With more than 96 per cent equipment uptime, and an average response time of less than two hours, Konica Minolta customers have peace of mind that their presses won’t let them down.
The service team has a goal for first time fix of 87 per cent, ensuring commercial printers aren’t left wondering when their presses will be back in operation. Self- directed work teams include seven technical advisors and 54 dedicated production technicians cover all major cities across Australia. In many cases, issues can be
fixed over the phone.
Konica Minolta is well aware that the
quality of its service team can determine the entire company’s reputation, so it invests in the best possible talent. All field service engineers are required to
be recertified annually, which requires
a minimum of 12 business days of training each year. Most exceed this minimum requirement.
With a strong combination of service, automation solutions, and outstanding equipment, Konica Minolta is focused
on meeting the needs of printers in the commercial sector. Its continued focus
on innovation and on pushing the
envelope will see Konica Minolta continue to develop what it says are ground-breaking new solutions for Australian commercial printers. 21
