Showbags appear in new places amid Easter Show cancellation
Film studios delay releases in wake of COVID-19
A number of film studios have rescheduled movie releases in the wake of COVID-19. According to reports, major film releases that have been delayed include; Warner Bros.’ Wonder Woman 1984, moved from a June release date to 14 August 2020; Disney’s Black Widow was delayed from a May release to November; Sony’s Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway has been delayed from 7 August to 15 January 2021; and, Illumination’s Minions: The Rise Of Gru will not premiere in July as planned. ❉
TO overcome the cancelled Sydney Easter Show, Bensons Trading and Hunter Leisure got creative in the ways in which they sold their Easter Showbags. Partnering with Woolworths in New South Wales, Bensons stocked 210 Woolies stores across the state with popular showbags ahead of Easter. “As proud champions of bringing toys and treats in our beloved showbags, we are excited to see the tradition go on. While a small act, we hope the range being made available brings big smiles to Australians this Easter period,” Bensons

Hunter Leisure launched the Showbag World website to enable customers to purchase their favourite showbags digitally. “To help ease
the disappointment for all those who couldn’t attend Sydney Easter Show we launched our brand new showbag website to allow our customers to purchase a range of our showbags online. We will be updating it with the latest showbags as they become available,” Hunter Leisure GM of carnival Ed Veale said. ❉
