The results were fed into the program evaluation, leading to the development of the final Your Business is Food program, now being rolled out now across New South Wales.
Lindley says, “The beauty of the program is that it provides a structure to work through, allowing targeted data collection. The kits give you a process to follow and suggested actions once you’ve
collected the data to inform improvement.
“The whole process is largely positive. We’re working with people whose business literally is food and once we get them over the line and get them participating, they can
see the benefit of a deeper dive into the issue.
“The data open things
up and when you’re in the business of making great food, you really don’t want it see it wasted. That’s why the program is working so well.”
