Black gold: The Coffee Growers of Rwanda. “We decided to head to Western Rwanda to meet one of the communities that brings us our favourite caffeinated goodness, coffee, or as locals jokingly refer to it, black gold. Driving a decrepit 4WD through muddy mountain passes in monsoonal rains, and crossing very questionable bridges that consisted simply of fallen trees ensured this was an adventure to remember.”
