DESIGN AND WIN
WE KNOW WHAT A CREATIVE LOT YOU ARE
in this industry and you might have no- ticed that Paint & Panel has a strong em- phasis on safety and compliance. BASF is also very focussed on safety and spon- sors the safety page in each issue. Paint & Panel has partnered with BASF to run a competition to design a safety poster en- couraging people in the workshop to come home safe each day.
The winner will receive a Glasurit branded SATA X5500 1.3 RP-I Limited edition spray gun and there will be two runner up prizes of Glasurit merchandise worth $200. The winner’s poster will also be distributed in the July/August issue of Paint & Panel for shops to display in their workshops or paint mixing rooms. We are encouraging your kids to take part too. The competition closes on Monday 8 May 2023 and the judges will be editor Sam Street and BASF’s Kirsten Dodd.
Please submit your designs to sam- street@yaffa.com.au and write Safety
Poster Competition or send them to Sam Street at Yaffa Media, 18-21 Belle- vue Street, NSW 2126 in the subject line. Good luck.
You don’t have to be a BASF custom- er to enter. You can find the terms and conditions at glasurit.com/au/news/ win-glasurit-branded-sata-spray-gun
ABOVE: The winner will have their poster published in the July/ August issue of the magazine and receive this limited edition Sata gun.

RACQ FOR SALE?
RACQ IS CLOSE TO SELLING ITS TROU-
bled insurance business to IAG in a deal worth an expected $500m according to the Courier Mail.
Another article published in the Austral- ian Financial Review says a sale is one of many options and a multi-year “quota share” reinsurance deal might be preferred.
The Courier Mail article says IAG could work with RACQ in a similar way to its agreement with RACV in Victoria.
The RACQ annual report shows insur- ance posted an after-tax loss of $236 mil- lion last financial year.
