CURRENT DEFENCE CONTRACTS
DEFENCE AUSTRALIA
EOS has over 250 R400 remote weapon systems (RWS) currently in-service with Australia’s combat forces. Sustainment and spare parts for these systems are provided by EOS; Land 400/2 CRV: Supply of 84 EOS R400 RWS for use on the Boxer combat reconnaissance vehicle; PMV Lethality Upgrade; Supply of 251 EOS R400 RWS for use on the Bushmaster and Hawkei protected mobility vehicles. All systems for the PMV Lethality Upgrade have been built in Australia in Queanbeyan, NSW and Hume, ACT;
Land 400/3 IFV: Team Redback (Hanwha Defence Australia and EOS) has completed participation in the Risk Mitigation Activity phase of the project. Hanwha’s AS21 Redback armoured vehicle will be equipped with EOS’ advanced T2000 turret to provide mounted close combat capability. Land 400/3 will deliver up to 450 infantry fighting vehicles and 17 support vehicles from 2024/25 onwards. The project’s RFT also mandated that all tenderers are to include the EOS R400 RWS into their responses; Land 8710 LMV-M: Supply of EOS R400 Marine RWS; C4 EDGE: EOS is
the lead partner for the C4 EDGE (Evolutionary Digital Ground Environment) a Communications Program bringing together 31 Australian sovereign C4 (command control communications and computers) subject matter experts leveraging internationally agreed upon standards to scope a proof-of-concept demonstration of a sovereign Land battlegroup and below communications environment for the Australian Army.
OVERSEAS
EOS has an extensive list of foreign contracts with over 1,800 systems in service around the world. The acquisition and sustainment of foreign systems brings over AU$160 million annually into the Australian economy.
SPACE AND COMMUNICATIONS
Through its Space Systems subsidiary: EOS has contracts with the Australian Department of Defence for technology development ($5.1m); Geoscience Australia for satellite
laser ranging services; RAAF for the provision of space domain awareness data; National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) for satellite laser ranging data and the provision of passive electro-optical observations.
Through its EM Solutions subsidiary: The Cobra X/Ka Triband Maritime Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Terminals have been delivered for Sea 1654, Sea 1180, Sea1445 and all Anzac Frigates; a three-year Introduction into Service and Support Services contract with CASG for Royal Australian Navy’s existing fleet of Cobra Maritime SATCOM terminals (AU$25.7m).

fully autonomous software control for optical ground station networks and SDA services; passive and active (laser) tracking technologies covering LEO to GEO and beyond; a substantial EOS-owned space object catalogue updated on a daily basis; Through its Optical Technologies (KiwiStar Optics) subsidiary: design, manufacture and installation of precision optics including large precision lenses, astronomical spectrographs, optical components and instruments, and custom optics; Through its EM Solutions subsidiary: High efficiency multiband RF systems, next generation antenna technologies, maritime SATCOM terminals, and stabilised tracking systems.
